1. Don’t let your stainless steel cookware sit in water.
If you’ve ever let your pots and pans soak in the sink overnight, you know that they can develop spots by morning. Water is one of the worst enemies of stainless steel, so it’s important to dry it off as soon as possible. Use a soft cloth to wipe down your cookware after washing, and be sure to dry it completely before storing it away.
2. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Stainless steel is a tough material, but it’s not indestructible. Harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners can damage the finish, so it’s best to stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners. That’s why I like to use a good soup sud mixture which should cause lots of bubbles and then add a good soft yet firm wash rag. Also, add a bit of music and dance moves as I do to my chore time! Nothing jazzes up a boring old sink scrub like some tunes and energetic grooves.
Not only do you clean, but you also have a good time doing it too – I call that balance.

Cleaning stainless steel cookware with vinegar(for an extra kick use vinegar & bicarb ) and water has become my ‘thing as it’s proven to work the best.’ Whenever my family sees me armed with that classic 1:1 ratio of vinegar to water and a sponge, they clear out of the kitchen (or it’s the smell).
